On September 20, 2017, shortly after 6:00am, everything changed for Puerto Rico. A hurricane of unprecedented strength destroyed much of the island, leaving a majority of Puerto Ricans without power, access to food, water or communications.

Asylum Hill Congregational Church will present an evening of amazing music to support hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico. Featuring Ed Fast & Conga Bop, and Dave Giardina & Goza Latin Band, this benefit concert brings together two of the areas most beloved musical ensembles for an evening of support for our neighbors in Puerto Rico.

Anticipating the immense impact of Hurricane Maria, the Hispanic Federation created the UNIDOS Disaster Relief & Recovery Program. The objective of this program is to meet hurricane-related needs and recovery in Puerto Rico. All proceeds from the freewill donations at the concert will support the UNIDOS Funds, and 100% of contributions to the UNIDOS Fund go to help the immediate and long-term recovery needs of children, families, and communities in distress from the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria.

Don’t miss this opportunity to support the ongoing recovery efforts while supporting the arts in Hartford.

Asylum Hill Congregational Church is located at 814 Asylum Ave, Hartford. More information at ahcc.org or by contacting Jack Pott, Director of Music & Arts at 860.216.9831 or jpott@ahcc.org.
