The Hartford Jazz Society celebrated its 60th Anniversary and kicked off its end of year Fundraising Drive with a smoking concert by trombone master Steve Turre’s Sextet featuring young rising stars of the art form. If you missed it live, you can still watch it on the Hartford Jazz Society’s Facebook page here:

At a time when normal activity is more limited than ever, the Hartford Jazz Society plans to increase its activity in 2021. With the partnership of the jazz community, the Hartford Jazz Society hopes to expand its programming activities and educational initiatives to include continued monthly virtual concerts, more workshops for students, the return of the popular Jazz 101/201, increased scholarships for aspiring jazz students, and much more.
We set an ambitious goal to raise $50,000 by the end of 2020. We have already received over $12,500 toward our goal. Please consider supporting the Hartford Jazz Society in its mission to cultivate an appreciation of the sound, culture and love of jazz by presenting a variety of live events and other activities, and make a tax deductible donation to the Hartford Jazz Society using the button below or at http://hartfordjazzsociety.com/donate/. Thank you to the jazz community for your continued support of the Hartford Jazz Society.
