For nearly 50 years, Ed Krech owned and operated this record and CD store in Wethersfield, CT. But this was much more than a place to peruse and purchase the latest jazz CD’s. Ed Krech provided a venue for young musicians to showcase their craft and gain experience performing in front of dedicated and knowledgeable jazz fans. For those fans, it was an opportunity to gather and listen to these emerging jazz artists and watch them grow and mature into professionals. Integrity ‘N Music fostered an intimate setting; a community to interact with these musicians on many levels. This video, produced by jazz aficionado Matt Chasen, documents what Ed Krech and Integrity ‘N Music has meant to the jazz community in the Greater Hartford area for nearly five decades. Integrity ‘N Music closed its doors in January of 2020.
