It’s great to see our University of Hartford, Jackie McLean Institute graduates playing in one of the iconic New York City jazz clubs. That was the case a few weeks back when Sarah Hanahan (U of H class of 2019) appeared at Smalls Jazz Club on March 20, 2023 with the Joe Farnsworth Quartet and again on March 23 leading her own quartet including another Hartford grad, bassist Matt Dwonszyck.
