Pangea Worldbeat

Pangea Worldbeat is a visionary, genre-bending ensemble based out of the Nest Arts Factory in Bridgeport, CT. Pangea blends Carribean, Latin and African infused Jazz with Space-Funk, Soul, and Psyche-Rock. From ancient rhythms to modern vibrations, Pangea’s mission is to connect, move and transcend. In the three years the band has been performing it has surged in popularity and toured from NYC to Vermont.

The collective includes: Kris Studebaker (drums), Seny Tatchol Camara (djembe/dunun), Will Diaz (percussion/vocals), Mike Rachinsky (bass guitar) , Jeff Wickun (guitar), Georgios Giannios (sax, flute), and Nicholas Yost (keyboard). Pangea has shared the stage with renowned ensembles such as ARMO, The Polyrhythmics, and Grammy-nominated musician Cimafunk.
Venue – The sanctuary/event space at the Unitarian Universalist Society East is a modern, acoustically rich, welcoming space with free on-site parking.
