Become a Valued Member of the Hartford Jazz Society
Join the longest continuously operating jazz society in the country. Founded in 1960, this all-volunteer organization produces jazz concerts featuring internationally acclaimed artists as well as up and coming jazz musicians. Our mission is to cultivate a wider audience of jazz enthusiasts by offering concerts, workshops and educational programs to the Greater Hartford region.
HJS Membership Benefits
Your membership $ helps support area musicians and keeps jazz alive and well in our region, including:
- The six-week, free, annual Paul Brown Monday Night Jazz Series in Bushnell Park in Hartford featuring nationally recognized headliners and local jazz artists
- HJS’ Jazz Jams at Black-Eyed Sally’s in Hartford
- HJS concerts featuring top NYC and nationally acclaimed musicians

- Scholarships for select area high school students planning to major in jazz in college
Beyond that, as an HJS member, you are entitled to:
