Quincy Delight Jones Jr. (March 14, 1933 – November 3, 2024) was an American record producer, composer, arranger, conductor, trumpeter, and bandleader. He was a music industry giant who is best known for producing some of the most successful albums and songs of all time, including three of Michael Jackson’s most successful albums: Off the Wall (1979), Thriller (1982), and Bad (1987).
Benny Golson (January 25, 1929 – September 21, 2024) was an American bebop and hard bop jazz tenor saxophonist, composer, and arranger. He came to prominence with the big bands of Lionel Hampton and Dizzy Gillespie, more as a writer than a performer, before launching his solo career.
