Recognized as one of America’s “21 most vital and productive performing artists” (Doris Duke Artist Awards), Bill Frisell is a jazz guitarist and composer whose career spans more than 40 years. Frequently noted for his versatility, Frisell tackles avant-jazz, Americana, and pop, all with his recognizable warm, bell-like tone. He has released over 85 albums as leader or co-leader and has featured on hundreds of other projects. The New York Times praises Frisell as “one of the most distinctive and original improvising guitarists of our time.”

In recent years, Frisell began his collaboration with the Blue Note label, resulting in multiple critically-acclaimed albums, including Valentine, which Downbeat hailed as “a masterpiece.”

This show, Bill Frisell Three, features accompaniment by composers and musicians Gregory Tardy (saxophone and clarinet) and Rudy Royston (drums).
